Cherry Blossom
Petals spin and fall around me
As I twirl and dance
Whirling through blooming flowers
Cherry blossoms painting the ground
The sounds of festival surround me
A cacophony of laughing and cheering
Yelling and children playing
And the boom of fireworks
Sends shockwaves through my chest
I devour every experience I can
Taking it all into my soul
As I twirl still
Whirling
Whirling as I dance
Dance
Dance
And I feel myself begin to smile
To laugh
As I spin
And the petals spin with me
And I learn for the first time
The joy of being who I am
